2014 WV State Team members. Congratulations to all!!
Grand American NRA 3 Gun tactical Aim Champion Robert Judy added more trophies to his case, last weekend he won both Junior singles events and was 3rd in Handicap at the VTA Grand Old Dominion shoot held at Winchester Gun Club, Winchester, VA .
I've a bit more news to share, we had one more shooter from WV at the Grand American this year meet Robert Judy and his parents Bill & Judy.
Wheeling, WV shooter Rob Ingram broke 99 and won the shootoff to become the Ithaca Featherlight Handicap Champion. Rob started shooting trap in 2011 and earlier this year was the Handicap Champion at the WV Hall of Fame shoot held at Marshall County Hunting & Fishing Club in Moundsville, WV, during the WV State Shoot Rob was the Class A winner in the Singles Championship and the Class C Doubles Championship victor. Obviously Rob has stepped up his training program which I am to understand includes inversion therapy.
Just back from the Southern Zone shoot in Bostic, NC where WV shooters brought home some trophies. Thursday, WV ATA Delegate Nick Harden Shot a 97 in the days handicap event winning his yardage group site trophy.
Nick also shot a 97 on Sunday's Handicap Championship and after the shoot off placed 5th on site and 7th Zone wide, pretty good for his 1st Zone shoot.
It was Great!!!!
The 2013 WV State Shoot is in the books! You will find the winners listed below and the shoot summary and photographs are located in the image galleries to the left.
All was ready, the grounds of Brooke County Sportsman & Farmers Association were immaculate. Rain earlier in the week had everything green; all was ready, the only thing to do was to wait for Thursday, we even had a rainbow.....
Fred Dague blasted 200 singles and a shoot off to become the latest Buckeye Classic Singles Champion. Fred also claimed Class AA Champion EVENT # 7 - JOHN ROSEBROCK CLASS SINGLES the day before with a perfect century.
Fred Dague smashed 100 straight from the 25 in the HALL OF FAME PRELIMINARY HANDICAP at the Missouri State Shoot and a 97 from the 27 the next handicap. That's Stout shooting.
